Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be confident and happy citizens. We want our children to love coming to school - education is about exciting and motivating children, enriching their lives and preparing them with the best opportunities and choices for the future.

Shottery St Andrew's is a small school for pupils aged 4 to 11, where each child is valued and nurtured as an individual.  Our holistic and well-rounded approach towards education provides a foundation for life-long learning and we ensure that each child has the opportunity to grow in self–confidence and academic success so that they leave our school with fond memories and fully prepared for the next stage of their education. We are passionate about developing the whole child and strive to provide a broad and balanced curriculum as well as a wide range of enriching opportunities to the develop the personal, social, physical and creative skills of all our children.  We are proud of our commitment to Pupil Voice and believe that all children should feel confident to share their ideas, skills and talents. We have a strong sense of community, and seek to inspire the highest standards of educational and personal achievement in each student. 

We have a friendly, committed and caring staff team, all of whom endeavour to provide the finest educational experiences and a wide range of exciting opportunities for every child at our school. We work closely with families and pride ourselves on our community relationships.

Although a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School, we welcome students from all backgrounds - we are guided by a set of SHINE values developed by the children, staff, parents and Governors - We are: Successful, Honest, Inclusive, Nurturing, Equal.

Our school vision is underpinned by Matthew 5:16, 'Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.'
