"Throughout our 10 years in business, we have developed our food content using advice from experienced food experts & nutritionists.   We have worked closely with professional institutions such as the Children's Food Trust and Start-well Birmingham, along with following and adapting to the National School Food Guidelines. We fully understand that children need variety. Proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates all help to fuel their bodies and minds as they grow.  Our menus are planned to incorporate all of the advice we receive".

Cupcakes Catering operate a meal booking system through the school's Parentmail system which allows parents/carers to order online and allows you to manage your child's school meals orders on your phone, table or computer.  Meals from September 2025 will be priced at £2.70 per meal.

Warwickshire Free School Meals

Free school meals are available for families who receive certain benefits and further information can be obtained from www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or by contacting 01926 742060

Schools should provide meal options for all children attending school. Meals are available free of charge to:

• all infant pupils (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) – known as universal FSM
• pupils who meet the free school meals eligibility criteria – known as benefits-related FSM. This includes pupils in school-based nurseries and maintained nursery schools.

For the new school year starting in September 2026, there will be two categories of free school meal eligibility depending on your financial circumstances:

• Targeted free school meals for those getting Universal Credit with annual household earnings of £7,400 or less, or another qualifying benefit
• Expanded free school meals for anyone getting Universal credit whose annual earnings are above £7,400.

Households in both categories will benefit from the financial savings of getting free school meals.

Households who fall into the targeted category will get access to additional benefits:

• Holiday activities and food (HAF) programme is for children aged 4 to 16 in reception to year 11 in receipt of benefits-related free school meals in the targeted category. HAF offers eligible pupils access to activities and at least one healthy meal is provided during each session. The activities take place during the Easter, summer, and Christmas school holidays
• Pupil premium is extra funding paid directly to schools for each pupil who is eligible for free school meals in the Targeted category. It can help to fund valuable teaching and learning support to improve pupil’s education.

If you have already received a notification from us to confirm your child/ren’s free school meal eligibility status for the 2026/27 school year, then you do not need to do anything, unless your child/ren attend a school on our list of schools we are unable to process free school meals for. If they are at one of these schools, you will need to contact the school directly to ensure they have re-checked your child’s entitlement to free school meals and if this will continue.

If your child has never received free school meals before, then please apply online, as long as your child attends a school who works with us on free school meals. 

Once you have applied for free school meals, if your child is eligible, they will remain eligible for that whole school year, regardless of any changes to your circumstances.

Warwickshire County Council will then store your data, and at the beginning of each new school year, will automatically check if your child is still eligible for free school meals and notify you of the outcome, to save you having to re-apply each year. This is because the Department for Education places a legal duty on maintained schools, academies and free schools (including school-based nurseries and maintained nursery schools) to provide free school meals to all children who meet the criteria and going forward they have advised that FSM eligibility should be monitored by schools and local authorities on an ongoing basis, through annual re-checks. Most schools in Warwickshire work with us to do this, and therefore we will need to store and re-check your information each year, to confirm that your children are still eligible and inform your schools of this. If a re-check is not carried out on or before the end of the free school meals eligibility period, at the end of each school year, your child will not receive free school meals for the following school year. Please contact us if you no longer wish for us to carry out this process and would rather manually re-apply each year.

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, they will automatically be entitled to universal infant free school meals - you do not have to apply for these. However, if you do meet the benefits-related free school meals eligibility criteria, then it is advised you apply as you may receive the additional benefits described above.

School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme

We provide all children in KS1 (Years R, 1 and 2) with a piece of fruit or vegetable everyday which is delivered via the School Fruit and Vegetable scheme – Food for Life.
